About Mode Design Collaborative

Lauren Grey
With experience working for an ad agency, start-up web firm, in-house corporate creative team & a web incubator/consulting firm, I feel I have been around the block. Strategically selecting new challenges to round out my experience before setting out on my own, I have the ability to work with clients directly or acting as a liason or sub-contractor for other firms.

My design experience spans the print & web specialties and allows for the design aspects of a printed piece to be executed online. Getting involved early-on in web development has helped create the rare combination of design & programming skill that ensures that what is designed can be built and used online for your business.

Concepting and brainstorming have always been a strength – translating a concept or idea into a graphical representation is what I love about design. Producing concepts practically out of thin air has been its own reward and getting to work in an industry where creativity is a commodity keeps me pushing to create something new and exciting on a daily basis.

Debi Giese
Introduced to graphic design at the Brookfield Zoo in 1995, I found my niche in graphics working with environmental graphic design. Before Graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BFA in 1998, I started working at Carol Naughton + Associates, one of the top environmental graphic design consultants in the country. With their firm for 11 years, I had started as an intern and moved into the position of a senior designer / project manager position for the remaining 8 years. After leaving Naughton + Associates, I have been managing multiple print, web, signage and marketing campaigns and strategies for multiple clients with our new collaboration of Mode Design.

Knowledgable and detail-oriented in all aspects of design, I enjoy problem solving using creative solutions. I am a skilled, mulit-tasker able to manage multiple large and small projects at the same time with successful results utilizing large and small budgets.

I enjoy keeping up-to-date with the latest programs, materials, printing and fabrication processes to be sure to utilize the best material for each project, always open to using creative solutions verses the obvious, which can create a unique and memorable visual effect for end users of all media.
